Rajasri Mallikarjuna Oltean is a composer, an editor, and a writer who has worked with numerous publishers, nonprofit organizations, news desks, and individual authors for more than a decade. With a focus on music, arts, and entertainment, she has also held several leadership roles advocating for creative professionals in the Los Angeles area, including serving on the Burbank Cultural Arts Commission and the board for Musicians at Play Foundation.

Currently the artistic director of Los Angeles Composers Collective, she was previously commissioned to write chamber works for Burbank Chamber Music Society and wrote the original ballet score Draupadi. As the editor of The Score, the exclusive magazine of the Society of Composers & Lyricists, she has interviewed high-profile composers for visual media. In addition, Raj has held editorial positions at BuzzFeed, Complex Networks, Modern Drummer, and Alfred Music. She received her Bachelor of Arts in political science and Bachelor of Science in journalism from Boston University, as well as a Professional Diploma in film scoring from Berklee College of Music.
